Hi, I’m Ashley with Prestige Food Trucks and you’re watching, Food Trucks For Thought. In this video series, I’ll be answering frequently asked questions to inform those interested in entering the food truck industry.

Question number 1, what’s your shipping process and timeframe?

For these large over sized food trucks, shipping can be slightly complex. For overseas clients, we drive the truck to the port and a large cargo ship will take it overseas. When shipping overseas, the timeframe can be 1 to 2 months. For shipping around the US, we put the food truck on a lowboy trailer and it’s driven to its destination without any mileage being put on the food truck. Shipping this way takes anywhere from one day to 2 weeks, depending on how far it’s being shipped to and considering the weather’s unforeseen circumstances. For all of our builds, we generally will include shipping in the proposal in order for you to have the complete total price in the beginning.

Question 2, how long does it take to build a food truck?

Taking our production schedule in consideration, after you place your order for a food truck build out, it can take 1 to 3 months for the truck build to be finished. The actual build out of the truck only takes around four weeks to complete, but our production time will vary depending on how many trucks we have on cue waiting to be built out.

Question 3, Do you design and install the vinyl wrap, as well?

Yes, we are an A to Z, one-stop shop that does everything for you. When you receive your finished food truck from us, it will be ready to be inspected by the health department, so you can start doing business right away. As soon as your order is placed, we will get you in contact with our design team to start working on the vinyl wrap design.
